(inspiration and future job satisfaction)   You will need to be able to discuss this on your application and at interview. Gain direct health and caring experience. (e.g. Hospitals as a Health Care Assistant, GP surgeries, hospice, care homes, first aid training and use) Keeping up to date with developments in the NHS and health services (Medical careers website as well as GMC, BMA and BMJ are good for this) Consider how you will sell the benefits of your existing health and caring experience. (What your learned and what inspired you.) Consider how you will sell the benefits of your personal achievements. (e.g. Volunteering, Nightline, student society engagement) Attend Open Days for your target medical schools (Key networking with admissions tutors, lecturers and current students) Practice the pre-entry tests â€" UKCAT and or GAMSAT. Have your UCAS statement checked from first draft through to final version use our Applications advice service When you have a confirmed interview at a medical school arrange an interview simulation to try out your technique.
